Amanda Draheim, PhD
Dr. Amanda Draheim is a licensed psychologist dedicated to building strong, collaborative relationships with her clients. She believes therapy works best when it is rooted in trust, respect, and open communication. Her approach is client-centered, meaning she works alongside individuals to help them make informed decisions about treatment, adjust approaches as needed, and stay actively engaged in the healing process.
Dr. Draheim has extensive experience helping clients move beyond the impact of sexual trauma, anxiety, and related challenges to build fuller, more meaningful lives. She sees adults ages 18–70 and specializes in treating posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and major depressive disorder. She also supports clients navigating self-esteem concerns, stress, panic attacks, sleep difficulties, sexual dysfunction, dysfunctional eating patterns, and specific phobias.
Her therapeutic style is flexible and evidence-based. She integrates Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), feminist therapy, and multicultural frameworks. Treatment is always individualized—chosen collaboratively with clients to fit their strengths, values, and goals.
Dr. Draheim is deeply committed to creating an inclusive and affirming environment. She is proud to serve clients from diverse backgrounds and identities, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, people of color, single parents, and those living with chronic health conditions. She believes in approaching each client with cultural humility, openness, and genuine respect.
“When I was a student, I learned how psychological distress can make a person’s world feel smaller and smaller. As a teacher and therapist, I’ve discovered that suffering is only part of the story—therapy is also about the courage, flexibility, and creativity it takes to grow. Seeking therapy is not weakness; it is an act of bravery. If you are on the fence about starting, I hope you take the leap and discover the strength you’ve had all along.” — Dr. Amanda Draheim
Fatima (Soraya) Mohammad-Deen, LGPC
Clinical Mental Health Counselor & Perinatal Mental Health
Fatima Mohammad-Deen is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland with a strong belief that therapy should be a space where healing feels possible, and where you are fully seen, heard, and supported—just as you are.
Fatima holds a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC, and brings a rich academic background in both Neuroscience and Psychology from George Mason University. With over eight years of experience in the helping profession, Fatima approaches her work with both deep clinical knowledge and a genuine passion for supporting others in becoming their most grounded, empowered selves.
Her therapeutic style is client-centered, culturally responsive, and integrative. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and a solution-focused orientation, while always staying open to tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual sitting across from her. With a strong multicultural lens, Fatima recognizes how identity, environment, and lived experience deeply shape the therapeutic journey.
Fatima specializes in supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, perinatal and postpartum mental health, women’s issues, and life transitions. She understands that change can be overwhelming and that therapy can feel like a big leap—especially when the world feels heavy or uncertain. Her goal is to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where you can lay down the armor, explore your inner world, and begin building the insight and skills needed to move toward the life you envision.
“Life can be stressful, change can be tough, and together we can build the skills and insights needed to cultivate your best self. I hope to create an environment where you can leave the chaos of the world behind and be you—raw, unfiltered, and real.”— Fatima Mohammad-Deen
