Fatima (Soraya) Mohammad-Deen, LGPC
Clinical Mental Health Counselor & Perinatal Mental Health
Fatima Mohammad-Deen is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland with a strong belief that therapy should be a space where healing feels possible, and where you are fully seen, heard, and supported—just as you are.
Fatima holds a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington, DC, and brings a rich academic background in both Neuroscience and Psychology from George Mason University. With over eight years of experience in the helping profession, Fatima approaches her work with both deep clinical knowledge and a genuine passion for supporting others in becoming their most grounded, empowered selves.
Her therapeutic style is client-centered, culturally responsive, and integrative. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and a solution-focused orientation, while always staying open to tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual sitting across from her. With a strong multicultural lens, Fatima recognizes how identity, environment, and lived experience deeply shape the therapeutic journey.
Fatima specializes in supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, perinatal and postpartum mental health, women’s issues, and life transitions. She understands that change can be overwhelming and that therapy can feel like a big leap—especially when the world feels heavy or uncertain. Her goal is to create a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where you can lay down the armor, explore your inner world, and begin building the insight and skills needed to move toward the life you envision.
“Life can be stressful, change can be tough, and together we can build the skills and insights needed to cultivate your best self. I hope to create an environment where you can leave the chaos of the world behind and be you—raw, unfiltered, and real.”— Fatima Mohammad-Deen

Arzu Vig (She/Her), NBCC Fellow
Clinical Mental Health Counselor & Parenting and Social Skills Coach
Are you feeling stuck in familiar patterns or hesitant to begin therapy, unsure where to start or worried you won’t be fully understood? You’re not alone—and support is here. At Integrative Mental Health and Consulting, I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating complex emotional landscapes with courage and hope.
My clinical focus includes couples and family therapy, as well as therapy for children ages 3–16 and their parents, addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, social skill difficulties, and family conflict. I also provide individual support for perinatal and postpartum mental health, offering a compassionate space during one of life’s most tender and transformative seasons.
With a background in public school systems supporting neurodivergent youth and their families, I bring a deep appreciation for how social systems, identity, and access shape mental health. I use a combination of evidence-based modalities—including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Play and Art Therapy, and PEERS—to support children and caregivers in strengthening relationships, improving communication, and building emotional resilience. Whether you’re noticing academic challenges, emotional changes, or increased stress at home, we’ll work together to create a grounded, supportive path forward.
In addition to individual and family therapy, I also facilitate group therapy and workshops centered on parenting support, postpartum adjustment, and social-emotional skills. These group spaces are designed to reduce isolation and foster connection, offering real tools in a safe and welcoming environment.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m proud to serve as a Minority Fellow with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and advocate for equitable mental health care—particularly for those navigating chronic illness, disability, and systemic barriers to wellness.
I offer both in-person and virtual sessions for clients across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. My approach is grounded in the belief that lasting mental and emotional well-being is built through safe relationships, culturally responsive care, and accessible tools that empower individuals and families across the lifespan.
